Schmidt Meadow Preserve 

 
In 2015, Battenkill Conservancy received a gift of a 10.8 acre riverfront parcel in the town of Jackson. The Schmidt family donated the parcel with the intent to ensure public access for fishing, quiet recreation and educational purposes as well as the inherent environmental benefit to watershed protection, floodplains, riparian buffers and wildlife, flora and fauna and fish habitat.
